NOSTALGIA: 18-mile bed-push effort by nurses and friend for Pilgrim Hospital scanner appeal

These nurses and a schoolgirl friend were planning to push a bed the 18 miles from Spilsby to Boston 35 years ago.

The effort was being made to raise money for Pilgrim Hospital’s CAT Scanner Appeal. Tickets were to be sold on the day for people to guess how long the bed push would take.
