Lincolnshire Police’s Cyber Protect Team is offering free virtual Cyber Crime sessions to businesses, educational settings, local Government and charities.

The pandemic has led to a huge increase in the number of people working remotely and spending more time online.

This has led to criminals turning away from more traditional forms of fraud and adapting to Covid-19 with a growth in fraud and cyber crime that targets people online.

The county force’s team is on hand to offer Cyber Crime sessions and there is a selection of training materials available that can be tailored to your needs whether that be a virtual session via Teams or Zoom or a video presentation.

Cyber Protect and Prevent Officer Harry Lancaster said: “Like everyone, we also are having to adjust to new ways of working, consequently we have had to change how we deliver training and how we can get the protect message out to organisations in Lincolnshire.

“To gain optimum benefit from the input, we recommend scheduling 40 to 60 minutes, but this can be adjusted accordingly. If you’re business or school we can tailor the session to your organisation’s needs regarding timing, content and focus on topics that may be a risk to your business, community or network.”
