Fire crews from Sleaford and Lincoln were called to help a horse stuck in a metal gate at a farm near Sleaford this morning (Monday).

The firefighters were called to the scene, responding to reports of the trapped animal just before 11am.

According to a fire service statement, hydraulic spreaders were used to create a gap in the gate to release the horse’s leg.

The horse was then left in the care of a vet and its owner.
