Disco-goers showed immense support

EDITOR – On Saturday, I held a charity disco at Billingborough Village Hall in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care with my good friend Charlotte Goodale, and the generosity of all who supported us just blew us away.

Around 200 people came on the night and we had roughly 40 raffle prizes donated by kind local people and businesses.

Guests were asking us for £10 or £20 worth of tickets, which was incredible, and raffle and ticket sales, combined with generous donations earned us an overall total of £1,100.

This is an incredible amount which we were able to present to Stuart Wyle, a community fund raiser for Marie Curie in Lincolnshire, on the night.

We would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who came on the night, to all who donated prizes for our raffle and to all involved who supported us behind the scenes.
