A 70-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe, this morning (Wednesday).

The incident, involving a red Ford C-Max and a red Citroen C1, was reported to the emergency services at around 10.30am.

This afternoon, a police spokesman confirmed: “The driver of the Ford C-Max, a local man, aged 70 sadly died at the scene.

“His family have been informed. No-one else was injured.

“An investigation has been started by our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, no-one has been arrested.

“On this occasion we do not need to appeal for further information or for witnesses to contact us.

The road is expected to remain closed until around 3pm.
