CRICKET: Sleaford CC memorial competition set to begin this week

With rain having played havoc with the original tournament schedule, Sleaford Cricket Club's Stephen Bradford Memorial Trophy should hopefully get under way this week with matches on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The same six teams will compete in the competition which will once again be sponsored by Four Seasons Garden Centre and be played in memory of one of Sleaford’s finest ever cricketers.

Wednesday sees reigning champions Woodhall Spa play Grantham whilst, on Thursday, Spalding play Lincoln Lindum, with both matches starting at 6pm. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.

The winners of these two games will progress to the semi-final stages against Bracebridge and Sleaford on July 13 and 14, with the final scheduled for July 20.
