Ashton found the net again to give Leadenham a slender 2-1 advantage at half-time.
The hosts started the second half the stronger team and scored two early goals.
However, Leadenham’s new forward formation of Ashton, Ian Sanderson and Will Dean created more opportunities and a short corner was converted by David Nelstrop to earn a potentially precious point.
Hard work and determination from Ian Sanderson earned him the man-of-the-match votes.

The visitors did not start well and were 2-0 goals down by half-time.
But globe-trotting James Ireland returned to the pitch to score a hat-trick in the second half to cap a terrific fightback and earn a 3-3 draw.
This return to form from the veteran goalscorer earned him the man-of-the-match award.
