Coronation Street star Steven Arnold heads the cast for The Wizard of Oz in Retford this weekend.

Best known for playing Ashley Peacock on Corrie’, and also appearing on Dancing on Ice, Steven is now swapping Weatherfield for Retford to play the Scarecrow in the show.

He will be joined by X Factor star Lloyd Williams as the Wizard.

Kevin Brown, the show’s producer, said: “The Wizard of Oz promises magic, music and laughter by the bucket load.

“We’ve got a fantastic family pantomime with a first-rate cast.

“This will be the second year we have produced the Easter pantomime at The Majestic theatre and we are thrilled to be returning after the huge success of last year’s Peter Pan.”

The show is tomorrow (Saturday) at 3pm.
