Squadron Leader RM Milne, the Commanding Officer of 92 Squadron, sitting in the cockpit of his Supermarine Spitfire Mark Vb, "New Yorklin", at Digby, Lincolnshire, in October 1941. His victory tally shows 11 enemy aircraft shot down. He was posted to command 222 Squadron in January 1942 and, one year later, became wing leader at Biggin Hill. On 20 January 1943 he shot down two Focke Wulf Fw 190s, but was then shot down himself, becoming a prisoner-of-war. EMN-180328-150941001
