More than 100 shoeboxes filled with gifts for children overseas have been donated as part of the annual Operation Christmas Child at Worksop College Preparatory School at Ranby House.

The annual appeal is designed to once again bring joy and hope to under-privileged children across the world this Christmas.

Volunteer Jean Coulson, from The Well Baptist Church in Retford, collected the boxes from the school’s pupils.

She will now donate them to the Samaritan’s Purse charity who co-ordinate what is now the world’s largest children’s Christmas project.
