BEM for retired band director

Jim McQuade who recently retired as Director of Music for Sleaford Concert Band after 20 years' service has been presented with his BEM which was awarded in the Queens Birthday honours in June this year.

The Lord Lieutenant presented the medal on Saturday during the band’s Saturday morning practice at Northgate Methodist Church Hall.

Jim continues to play trombine with the band having stepped down from his leading role, also in June.
