A Boston man resorted to stealing from shops after he was introduced to crack cocaine and was no longer able to work, Boston Magistrates’ Court heard.

Aston Chase, 36, of Fydell Street, admitted four offences of shoplifting in Kirton and Boston between October last year and this March.

Philippa Chatterton, mitigating, said Chase had been able to work on the land and fund his heroin habit legitimately but it had been exacerbated last year when he had been introduced to crack cocaine and he resorted to theft to fund his habit.
