Sleaford Firsts beaten at Bourne, victories for Billingborough and Heckington

Sleaford CC Firsts were beaten by 86 runs at Lincs ECB Premier rivals Bourne on Saturday.

Joe Peck took three wickets and Scot Tite, Drew Harbron two apiece as the hosts posted 256 for 8 off 48 overs.

However, Sleaford could not match the run rate, eventually dismissed for 171 in the 48th over, Aayiush Patel (34), Andy Hibberd (29), Cameron Hall (26) and Thomas Willoughby (21) top scoring.

In the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division, Sleaford Seconds secured a three-wicket victory over Woodhall Spa Seconds at London Road - Kieran Harbron hitting 77 runs.

The visitors reached 132 before being dismissed.

Simon Godby took four wickets for the loss of 20 runs.

Sleaford reached 134 for 7 in the 31st over, Connor Harbron (10) the only teammate to reach double figures.

Sam Cherry took four Sleaford Wickets.

Jed Humphries (42) and Henry Gale (31) helped Billingborough to a 121 run win at Ancaster in the SLBL Division One on Saturday.

After posting 205 for 8, the hosts were skittled for 84, James Rickett taking six wickets.

Heckington won by 141 runs at Spalding Seconds.

Will Charlesworth (85), Chris Morley (45) and Steve Scott (42) helped the away side to 211 for 5, Spalding all out for 70. Suketu Patel took four wickets and Damon Tunnicliffe three.

On Sunday, Sleaford Thirds secured a 101 victory over Freiston, Leake and Leverton in the SLBL Division Two.

The hosts posted 345 for 8, Freiston dismissed for 244.

Sleaford Women were beaten by 41 runs at Newark Ransome & Marles in the East Midlands Women’s Cricket League Softball North Division.

Yvonne Townend top scored with 15 runs and took three wickets as she helped Sleaford to 60 for 4 off 16 overs, Newark responding with 101 for 4.

Sleaford Sunday Seconds were beaten by six wickets at Blankney.

Ian Glendenning (47) and Rhys Collings (40) helped Sleaford to 156 for 9 in the Lincoln and District League Division Two.

However, Blankney made 159 for 4.
