Sleaford Town head to Lincolnshire rivals Holbeach United tonight looking to build upon their first win of the season.

However, manager Jamie Shaw knows the Tigers will still offer astern test.

“They’ve had an up and down start to the season,” he said. “They’ve struggled a little bit with injury and player availability.

“They’re maybe not quite as strong as they have been, they’re rebuilding. But nonetheles they’re a quality club with a really good set up.

“They’ve given some of the younger player a chance, which is really good to see. But we are under no doubts going there on any day will be a really tough proposition.”

Kick off at Carter’s Park will be at 7.45pm.

Sam Jackson (two) and Wes Greenwood were on target as the Greens ended a six-game losing streak this season to beat Pinchbeck United 3-2 in the UCL Premier on Saturday.

“It’s always nice. It’s key for us to compete in those matches against probably almost a separate league of six or seven teams at the bottom, of which Pinchbeck are probably one,” Shaw added.

“It’s good to get a win and a performance in one of those games.

“This gives us a sense of belief and renewed confidence.”

Town will also host Desborough on Saturday.
