There was double the reason to celebrate at Kuk Sool Won Boston - as sisters earned their black belts.

Five years ago Fatima and Laiba Imran joined the club.

And their hard work has paid off as, at Norwich Sports Park in front of Grandmaster In Hyuk Suh, the founder of the Korean martial art, they showcased their skills.

After three hours of testing, Laiba, 15, and Fatima, 14, headed back to the Boston school to be part of a seminar conducted by 9th degree Barry Harmon, who taught pressure point strikes in depth to children and adults.

Three days later Laiba and Fatima were informed they had passed and were to promote at Liverpool that weekend.

In front of a crowd of 1,000 people the girls walked down in their special ceremonial uniforms (Hwrang Do Bohk) to be presented with their certificate and belt by the Grandmaster.

The sisters will now move to the adult black belt class to continue their training in advance forms and weapons and other aspects of the martial art.
